Fujifilm launches 2015 Student Awards - REFLECTIONS - Film and Instax.'
The Fujifilm Student Awards 2015 are now open for entries. The brief is Reflections - film and Instax, an added twist for the 2015 awards. The Instax part of the brief is open to everyone. This is a move that the organiser's hope will lead to a surge of imaginative submissions, and include the ever-increasing popularity of instant photography.'
The awards will once again be collaborations with Fujifilm Professional, Metroprint (the online arm of Metro Imaging) Focal Press (part of the Taylor & Francis Group) ChooseFilm (the online community dedicated to film photography) and Fujifilm Instax.
Film submissions are invited from all UK students, not just those undertaking courses involving photography. All images must be taken on Fujifilm film and submitted via www.fujifilmstudentawards.co.uk - entry is free and students can enter as many photographs as they wish.
Instax submissions are invited from all of the UK, not just students or those undertaking courses involving photography. All images must be taken on a Fujifilm Instax Camera using Fujifilm Instax film and submitted via www.fujifilmstudentawards.co.uk - again, entry is free and participants can enter as many photographs as they wish.
The overall Student (film) winner will be named the Fujifilm Student Photographer of the Year 2015. The winner will also be presented with £200 worth of film from Fujifilm, a professionally produced folio of prints, a one-to-one printing/consultancy session with one of Metroprints top printers and £100 worth of books from Focal Press.
In addition to the overall Student (film) winner, there will be an overall (Instax) winner for 2015. The winner will be presented with an Instax Mini 8, Mini 90, Wide 300, Instax film and the SP-1 Instax Share Printer.
Each month there will be a Curators Choice which will see one Student (film) image selected and featured on the Awards website and social media channels. The monthly (Film) winner will be presented with a free 12" x 16" professionally produced print of their winning image by Metroprint and 10 rolls of Fujifilm film.
There will also be a Curators Choice for the monthly (Instax) winner. The Instax image will be selected, featured on the Awards website and social media channels. The Instax winner of each monthly award will be presented with 5 packs of Instax film and an Instax Photo Book.
The college or university that submits the most entries will win £500 worth of books from Focal Press. The closing date for the competition is 31st March 2014.
