Decimator Design announces two additions to their Converter MultiViewer family: MD-LX and DMON-QUAD

The MD-LX is an extra small, lite version of the hugely popular MD-HX, the bi-directional HDMI/SDI converter and scaler from Decimator Design. Like the MD-HX, the MD-LX is a bi-directional HDMI/SDI converter for 3G-A/3G-B/HD/SD (minus the scaling/frame rate conversion available on the MD-HX). Pocket sized at 60mm x 73.7mm x 23mm (2.4 x 2.9 x 0.9), it uses low power allowing operation from the USB and supports both 3G Level A and B on the inputs and outputs, allowing conversion between the two.

MD-LX features the following modes:

Auto Select (Active input to all outputs or if both inputs are active SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI)

HDMI IN to SDI OUT and SDI IN to HDMI OUT

SDI IN to HDMI and SDI OUT

HDMI IN to HDMI and SDI OUT

DMON-QUAD (ETA May): A super low-cost 1 to 4 channel professional SDI MultiViewer/Quad-Split with SDI and HDMI outputs for 3G-A/3G-B/HD/SD.

Low latency buffering allows non-synchronous inputs, with each independent window able to display any 3G/HD/SD format of any frame rate simultaneously. MultiView layouts are fully customizable, with various standard layouts also available for selection. Output format is selectable in both Full-Screen and MultiViewer modes, with fast-switching between inputs using Full-Screen scaling. Size and position of the 16 Character UMDs and 8 Channel Audio Metering are customizable for each window. GPI on RJ-45 connector enables Tallies and Remote Switching. The DMON-QUAD is low latency, low power, and has NO FAN.

The MD-LX and DMON-QUAD are truly portable products that incorporate an easy-to-use LCD screen and button control system. This gives easy access to the outstanding features without using complicated LED/button controls, dip switches, or having to carry around a computer to change a simple setting.
