Higher revenues and a higher net profit for TS Group over the first six months of the year Ljubljana, 29 August: The Telekom Slovenije Group generated EUR 395.6 million in operating revenues during the first six months of this year, an increase of 1% on the same period last year. The Telekom Slovenije Groups net profit was up 17% relative to the same period in 2012 to stand at EUR 30.9 million. The Unaudited Business Report for the period January - June 2013 was discussed at yesterday's meeting of the Company's Supervisory Board.

The Telekom Slovenije Group generated an operating profit of EUR 41.4 million over the first six months of this year, at the level achieved during the same period last year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 126.2 million, a decrease of 5% on the same period last year, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 33%. The Telekom Slovenije Group's net financial debt was down EUR 4.4 million on the last day of 2012 to stand at EUR 341.6 million as at 30 June 2013.

The operating results achieved by the Telekom Slovenije Group over the first six months of this year represent the fruit of the Group's efforts to reduce all types of costs and the processes being implemented to comprehensively re-engineer and optimise operations. We are simultaneously introducing complex ICT services into operations and searching for new business models that will facilitate long-term sustainable operations. In the future our priorities in the implementation of our business plan will continue to be the stabilisation of revenues and the cutting of costs, which will allow Telekom Slovenije Group companies to maintain and enhance the positive economic and social effects of their operations, said Rudolf Skobe, MSc, President of Telekom Slovenije, d. d.'s Management Board.

Telekom Slovenije Group companies recorded growth in the number of connections. The number of broadband connections was up 1% over the first six months of this year to reach 342,850. The number of fixed and mobile connections was up 1% to stand at 2,628,595, while VoIP connections were up 5% to reach 168,724.

Another important factor for the long-term stability of operations is the reduction of Telekom Slovenije's debt. Net financial debt was down a further 1% over the last six months to stand at EUR 341.6 million. Telekom Slovenije is thus one of the least indebted operators in Europe.

The Telekom Slovenije Group earmarked EUR 36.7 million for investments in fixed assets during the first half of this year, an increase of 12% on the same period last year. The Group is planning investments of around EUR 130 million this year.

The Telekom Slovenije Group is planning a net operating profit of EUR 50 million and EBITDA of up to EUR 245 million for this year.
