Sony Announces companies next which will offer the Brazil World Cup Sony will work hand in hand with various partners to offer the 2,500 hours of live matches in 4K and HD recording, to screens around the world.

Sony responsible to provide during the World Cup of FIFA 2014 more than 2,500 hours of images of matches that will be recorded for 32 days, in 64 games and in two different time zones. The company has announced the companies that will work to carry out this objective and be able to offer the best content to date of the World Cup tournament, as all 64 matches will be offered in HD and three in 4K.

As a partner of retransmission of Host Broadcast Services (HBS), the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament, Sony will take care of equip facilities for the HD broadcast from 12 sites spread throughout Brazil, including the integration of systems, equipment and personnel. This includes the management of the provision of 12 different production units and 288 Full Sony HD cameras, which will provide the necessary production tools HBS to offer every minute of matches to television stations. Working with HBS, Sony has carefully selected subcontractors among a number of companies of facilities and providers of leading teams which, along with the equipment of production of HBS, will be incomparable.

To carry thousands of households around the world 64 matches in Full HD, Sony will collaborate with Sonovts and Presteigne Charter, Studio Berlin, CTV Outside Broadcast, AMP Visual TV Broadcast RF

The World Cup in 4K

This year also a step will be later in the evolution of sports broadcasting with the first 4K of World Cup coverage. There will be a before and an after in sports production will be recorded live, three parties, including one of the quarter-final and one of the end, in 4 K live, which will create a more enveloping and spectacular visual experience that sports fans have ever lived.

Working together, Sony and HBS will be responsible for the 4K project in Brazil. Sony has chosen the Brazilian company of mobile units and programming Globosat (part of TV Globo Group) and the company of the United Kingdom production outdoor Telegenic services to provide production platform. Globosat will be responsible for providing technical on-site installations, while Telegenic will bring their experience and technical expertise to the project, something that got during the 4K in the Confederations Cup last year. Both companies have been chosen because of its reputation as innovative in their fields, since they provide a lot of live sports production experience and a reputation for excellence in broadcasting. Fujinon will also offer targets for production in 4K.
