Cisco and its partners announce the largest global network of Cloud environments Cisco Intercloud constitutes a drive key from the Internet of Everything and the next phase of Cloud Computing

Cisco He has announced its intention to build a network of Clouds along with its partners, the the worlds largest global Intercloud within the framework of the event Partner Summit 2014.

As organizations rely more and more on public, private and hybrid Clouds to quickly and economically distribute applications and business services, Cisco Intercloud global environment is based on an architecture designed for the Internet of Everything and is composed of a distributed and secure network that facilitates the delivery of value-added applications, analysis in real time, scalability almost without limit and full compliance with the regulations.

The innovative Intercloud open environment, including APIs for rapid development of applications, will provide a new portfolio of Cloud-based enterprise it services, service providers and resellers.

With a planned investment of more than 1 billion dollars to expand its Cloud offering in the next two years, Cisco has a model of marketing partners that enables the generation of additional investment to strengthen and optimize the supply of global services to customers of Cisco-centric.

Accelerating the adoption of the Internet of Everything

Based on the OpenStack platform and in the Cisco Application Centric infrastructure (ACI) to optimize the performance of applications and offer new services faster, Cisco Intercloud is designed to allow organizations and users combine and move workloads - including applications and data - through different Cloud environments public or private as you need, from formasencilla and secure and while ensuring networking and associated security policies.

The new Cisco Cloud services expand the complete portfolio of Cisco, which already includes: offers SaaS (Software as a service) such as WebEx, Meraki and Cisco Cloud Web Security; Cloud services differentiated as collaboration in host and Cloud DVR (reproduction and digital video recording); and the technologies and services needed to build public and private cloud system, Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) solutions integrated NetApp FlexPod and VCE Vblock infrastructure and Platform Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).

Market strategy

Cisco has expanded the Cisco Powered program to include the category Cisco Cloud Services. Cisco will market these new services through channel partners and end customers directly. Partners who develop services Cisco Powered can accelerate its Cloud offerings, reduce development costs, and improve the scope and scalability.

Other solutions that will benefit from this measure include Cisco Videoscape Cloud DVR with scalable Cloud resources for viewing and digital recording of video content.
