Organization Grows Amid Demand for Easier, More Affordable Solutions for High-Volume Data Storage

The Active Archive Alliance announced today that four storage companies have joined the organization. Quantum, Seven10 Storage, Scality, and XenData are the newest contributing members to join the Alliance, following HP joining as a voting member earlier in March and bringing the total number of members to 16.

Traditional storage solutions with heavy workload management requiring a balancing act between tiers of storage, along with flat budgets are driving the need for advanced storage capabilities. An active archive provides an intelligent data storage framework that allows the user to cost-effectively scale to petabytes of data across multiple storage mediums and reduce time-consuming intervention upon the request of data.
