Robycam Germany becomes Birds Camera Solutions, expands system range and exhibits at Sportsinnovation 2020 posted: 12/02/2020

Robycam Germany GmbH, based in Bingen am Rhein, Germany, announces the change of name to Birds Camera Solutions GmbH. Birds Camera Solutions continues its business activities unchanged and continues to offer a range of cable camera systems as rentals for productions. In addition, the range of systems has been expanded to include smaller cable camera systems. A new addition to the system portfolio is the Birds Cam System, which is particularly suitable for smaller venues or studios because of its compact winches and camera head dimensions.

The company currently offers a comprehensive range of systems deploying the Birds Cam, Robycam Compact and Robycam 3D, which all can be used in a wide variety of locations and productions.

For customers, everything stays unchanged. Both the team with two managing directors Stefan Breder and Philip von Senden, as well as contact details, remain the same.

Stefan Breder comments on the name change: With the addition of the smaller aerial camera system, we have renamed the company to Birds Camera Solutions. The name change underpins our growing range of cable camera systems. No matter what production in what location, our customers can rely on our services to always provide the right solution to shoot exceptional images.

Philip von Senden adds: With the company's new name we convey our growth strategy and the expanded portfolio. Our customers can be sure to be served with the same professional systems and teams on-site they were accustomed to in previous times.

The company Birds Camera Solutions already appeared in several business events. Sports congress SPOBIS that took place in D sseldorf from 29th - 30th January was the first chance to experience the company and the new systems. A further highlight coming in the future will be Sportsinnovation trade fair (March 25 to 26, 2020), where Birds Camera Solutions will show two systems in action. On the field of the Merkur Spiel-Arena in D sseldorf, a large Robycam 3D system will capture the action on the green. The smaller Birds Cam system will be live on stage in the main stand.

The first weeks of 2020 saw Birds Camera Solutions systems heavily in use at several major national and international events, including Biathlon World Cup Ruhpolding, matches of the premier German Football League, DFB Cup, Match in Africa with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal (world record with over 52,000 spectators in the stadium watching a tennis match) as well as Cologne Carnival.
