Entertainment Intern

A full-time editorial intern with an interest in online journalism and entertainment is needed to join our young and dynamic team as part of our internship programme. The primary role of an editorial intern will be to assist in sub-editing, uploading and re-writing of content for the entertainment section with a particular focus on international movie news with some opportunities to write original content for the section.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who has recently graduated and is looking to gain some experience in the exciting and ever-changing world of online journalism.

Requirements

A degree or diploma in journalism, new media or similar.

Excellent command of the English language, and must be a stickler for spelling and grammar.

Must be proficient in both writing and editing of online content, and able to suggest ideas for features and articles

Obsession with fact-checking important

Good researching skills - we want you to find more than the results on page one of Google!

Good general knowledge, with an interest in popular culture.

An established presence in social media (Over 75 Twitter followers will be an advantage), and a particular understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and blogging platforms.

Must be a team-player who is ready to pitch in for editors across the site if needed.

Previous work experience - including experience at a university level - is an advantage.

License and own transport.

This is an excellent learning opportunity for an up-and-coming journalist with a passion for the entertainment sector.
