NAB Show 2018 starts with VSN keynote, the traditional event exclusive to its dealers in Latin America. In this event, celebrated at Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas, VSN team presented the latest product innovations that will be showcased this week during the show, and it concluded with an awards ceremony for the best projects and dealers in the region.

This year, NAB Show edition is loaded with innovations and, once again, VSN has started the event with its traditional keynote for all its trusted dealers in Latin America. At the event, which took place on April 8, VSN Management Team presented the latest developments and innovations of the company, as well as the main trends in the industry to be taken into account for the next year.
The event started with a conference by VSN Marketing Director Patricia Corral, who presented the current state of the broadcast industry, as well as its last year developments and future trends to be taken into account. Among others, Corral highlighted the growth in content and publicity customization, as well as multi-device delivery, where streaming and online video play and will keep playing a very important role. This trends are reflected in the ongoing decline in multichannel cable TV subscriptions, replaced by OTT and SVOD platforms, new competitors to be taken into account that have become increasingly important in the industry. According to Corral, The changes and developments in this industry are speeding up. Therefore, we need to position ourselves as a reference and enhance product innovation and client service as a distinguishing mark of our company. This way, we will turn the emergence of these new players into a business opportunity.
Aaron L pez, VSN COO, explained later the latest innovations and product developments of the company, as well as the key products that will be showcased this year at NAB Show. Especially remarkable were the advanced features developed for VSNExplorer MAM, which now offers automatic metadata detection via API, and the latest enhancements in Wedit, the web-based video editor integrated within its solution VSNExplorer, which presents for the first time audio editing and voiceover capabilities, allowing journalists and video editors to manage and edit all their video clips in the Cloud from a unique interface and without switching tabs to any third-party NLE. In addition, L pez introduced VSN Cloud Playout solution thanks to the implementation of four solutions to the Cloud (VSNCreaTV, VSNExplorer, VSNOneTV y VSNWebTV), VSN new web plugin for news production and the recent integrations between the Company and other partners such as QStar, Octopus or Spectra.
Roberto Duif, Latin America Sales Director, closed the cycle of conferences by presenting VSN Roadmap for 2018, explaining the main proyects for the year, and announcing a Technical Dealer Training to be held Barcelona during 2018.
VSN's keynote ended up with the traditional awards ceremony for the best projects and dealers in the region. On this occasion, the companies awarded were Onalur, which was accredited a Special Mention by VSN, Video Systems, which was recognized for its Excellent Performance, and Bitcom, which received the award for the emblem project of 2017.
