Belden s Paul Kish to Present in Multi-Vendor Webinar on Category 8

The Telecommunication Industry Association (TIA) TR-42 Engineering Committee's decision to move forward with a set of Category 8 specification charts the course for a new performance level of twisted-pair cabling systems. It also provides another potential option for network administrators planning migration to future high-speed transmission rates - particularly 40 Gbits/sec. This webinar, hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance, provides an update on standards - development activity surrounding to Category 8 and how the activity relates not only to the TIA but also to IEEE and ISO/IEC standards efforts.

Paul Kish will be covering the topic of Category 8 interoperability and backward compatibility. A point of some controversy among industry technologists concerning the development of Category 8 is the issue of backward-compatibility with other twisted-pair performance levels developed by other standards-making groups.
