IRVINE, CAJan. 30, 2013At the just-concluded 2013 NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif., Sonnet Technologies Echo Express Pro Thunderbolt Expansion Chassis for PCIe cards received a coveted Best of Show award from the editorial staffs of Pro Sound News and Pro Audio Review magazines. The award recognizes the hottest new products making their debut at the NAMM Show.

Householder, a professional music producer, engineer, and songwriter based in southern California, demonstrated how he is able to build a seamless and highly portable audio editing workflow with just the Echo Express Pro chassis, two Avid ProTools|HDX PCIe cards, and a lightweight MacBook Pro.

Todays ultra-light notebooks, mini, and all-in-one desktop computers now have tremendous processing power, close to that found in full-size desktop computers such as the Mac Pro. Although their portability is highly desirable, these smaller computers lack expansion slots to install specialty cards, designed for use in desktop computers, to connect various audio and video inputs.
