The final Festival of 2014, with the support of the NFVF,will takes place from Thursday the 13th of November to Sunday the 16th of November, at Cinema Nouveau Rosebank and the V&A Waterfront. The Out In Africa Film Festival host an incredibly strong line-up of 4 feature films and include: Love Is Strange, Pride, Reaching For The Moon and The Skeleton Twins.

Love Is Strange (USA / France 2014 95min), is directed by Ira Scahs. John Lithgow and Alfred Molina play the long-term lovers and newly-weds suddenly wrenched apart. A profound and good-humoured tale of enduring love in the face of religiously inspired and sanctioned homophobia.

Pride (UK 2014 120min), is a feel good true story about the London Pervs who went off to Wales to stand in solidarity with the Pits - striking miners during Thatchers determined demolition of the unions. Stars Bill Nighy and Imelda Staunton, among others. The film is directed by Matthew Warchus and has won the Cannes 2014 Queer Palm Award.

Reaching For The Moon (Brazil 2013 118min), director: Bruno Barreto. This very stylish biopic dramatises the tempestuous, complicated 15 year long affair of two powerful artists - American Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize Elizabeth and Lota de Macedo Soares, architect and designer of the iconic Flamengo Park in Rio.

The Skeleton Twins (USA 2013 90min), is directed by Craig Johnson. Maggie and Milo are estranged twins suddenly thrown together in a time of crisis. Kristin Wiig and Bill Hader, better known as comics (Saturday Night Live) deliver wonderfully dramatic and (can they help it?) comic performances as the twins in trouble. The Skeleton Twins was awarded the Sundance 2014 Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award.

Opening night tickets are on sale and refreshments will be served prior to the screening, courtesy of Cinema Nouveau.
