SPI Cinemas to Power 7 Screens in India with Dolby Atmos

Mumbai & Chennai, June 12, 2013-Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) and SPI Cinemas, a leading motion picture exhibitor in India, announced today that SPI Cinemas will install Dolby Atmos in 37 screens across its leading theatres in Chennai and Coimbatore. Dolby Atmos has quickly become the preferred choice for next-generation cinema sound among major studios, directors, sound teams, and exhibitors around the world.

SPI Cinemas has always been at the forefront of cinema technology and consequently was the first exhibitor in India to introduce Dolby Atmos at our flagship locations Sathyam and Escape.
