Metro TV, Indonesias first 24-hour national news channel, based in West Jakarta has selected Ideal Systems to design and build its new High Definition studios and control rooms. The new studios will be enabled for full HD productions with high end graphics from VizRT and will use Dante (Digital Audio Network Through Ethernet) network protocols to deliver uncompressed, multi-channel, low-latency digital audio over IP. The project will include the installation of a new News Room Computer System and Media Asset Management System from Dalet. The station was established sixteen years ago and now has over fifty terrestrial transmission sites across Indonesia and is also carried on satellite and digital terrestrial.

We went through a detailed evaluation and tender process to find the right systems integration partner for our technology update and new studio build said Mohammad Mirdal Akib, Director of Technology at Metro TV, who continued We selected Ideal Systems based on their extensive and successful track record for building studios and delivering state of the art broadcast technology solutions in across Asia, and critically the fact they have a full local office in Jakarta with local systems design and support staff
