Votes from African music fans resulted in the winners of the Channel O Africa Music Awards which celebrated the best music on the continent at Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto on 30 November.
The ceremony, now in its 10th year, was hosted by rappers Naeto C and AKA and featured performances by Cassper Nyovest ft Okmalumkooklat, Burna Boy, The Soil, Khuli Chana, Victoria Kimani, Buffalo Souljah, Wizkid, AKA ft Da L.E.S., KCee, Lizha James and Mafikizolo.
Out of 12 nominations in the highly anticipated Most Gifted Video of the Year category, Nigerian artist Wizkid won for his song Azonto.
