Robert Puskaric appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Business Unit Modems

Appointment effective as of May 7, 2014

Modems enters new phase as the first product M7450 is commercially available

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) appoints Robert Puskaric Senior Vice President and Head of Business Unit Modems. He will remain part of Ericssons Global Leadership Team. Puskaric brings extensive experience from modems business where he was head of Ericsson Mobile Platforms 2006-2009. Robert Puskaric succeeds Mats Norin, who has headed the integration of the modems business into Ericsson after the dismantling of the joint venture ST-Ericsson.

We now have one of the industrys most advanced LTE thin modem and are trialing with the first customers. Mats Norin has been instrumental in successfully bringing the M7450 to market and establishing the modems business as an integrated part of Ericsson.

Robert Puskaric has been Head of Ericssons region Northern Europe and Central Asia and member of Ericssons Global Leadership Team since 2010.

Puskaric was born in Helsingborg, Sweden in 1969, and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the School of Economics and Management at Lund University, Sweden, in 1996.

Since August 2013, Ericsson has an LTE thin modems business with industry leading technology and intellectual property. The operation was integrated into Ericsson after the split-up of the joint venture ST-Ericsson last year. Modems are part of Ericssons vision of 50 billion connected devices and the ambition is to be a top-three supplier in the thin modems market. The first product, Ericsson M7450, was released for commercial use in the fourth quarter last year. Work is ongoing with a tier one smartphone manufacturer to integrate M7450 in their devices. Net sales are expected in the second half of 2014
