Dalet Releases Long-Term Supported Update to Dalet Flex

Dalet has announced a new Long-Term Supported (LTS) release of Dalet Flex, expanding AI capabilities, workflow automation, and integration with Dalia, Dalet's agentic AI platform, across ingest, editing, packaging, and distribution workflows.

Dalet Flex is the operational backbone for modern media organizations, says Erwan Kerfourn, Head of Product, Dalet Flex. This release advances the level of intelligent capabilities customers can access across their workflows, enabling them to achieve greater efficiencies and new ways of working using Dalia as a practical part of their everyday media operations.

Security and Content Acquisition

The release adds OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication support and new role-based permissions within Ingest Portal. The updated Ingest Portal includes streamlined scheduling, multi-time-zone visibility, FIFO scheduling for Dalet Brio, and expanded format support including DNxHD for the Flex encoder.

AI and Metadata

Embedded vision models within the Dalet Flex infrastructure can automatically generate descriptive metadata, identify objects, recognize emotional context, and perform content moderation analysis during ingest without transferring media to external AI services. Metadata is surfaced within Dalet Flex through timeline-based views.

Creative and Distribution Workflows

Updates to Dalet Cut add automated background blur for vertical video, subject-tracking blur, improved text positioning, and expanded image adjustment controls including brightness and saturation. The release also adds caption burn-in capabilities within Dalet Flex Stream Processing and updated workflow wizards for content packaging.

Dalia Integration

Any workflow in a Dalet Flex environment can now be exposed to Dalia through configuration without custom development. Dalia automatically discovers available workflows and allows users to initiate them through natural language prompts. Workflow Designer gives teams control over which workflows are surfaced to Dalia.
