Accedo Expands Into Latin America and Germany Cologne, Germany, and Santiago, Chile, 9th September 2013
Accedo, the global market leader in TV application solutions, today announced that it has furthered its global expansion with the opening of two new offices, in Cologne, Germany, and Santiago de Chile, Chile.
Both regions are important locations for the industry currently. Chile is leading the way in Latin America for innovation in technology, supported by good infrastructure and sustained economic growth. Cologne is Germany's media capital, boasting a large number of leading media companies, TV production companies, making one third of Germany's TV programs, and a number of major telcos and CE manufacturers.
With these two new offices, Accedo is aiming to establish a good local presence in these areas. This is the first office for Accedo in Latin America, therefore there will be an engineering team to support customers across the region, as well as becoming the hub office for the development of operations and business throughout Latin America.
For all of Latin America combined, we're looking at a population of around six hundred million, with more than one-third of them online and a combined average broadband speed of more than 3 Mbps. commented Jer nimo Macanas, VP LatAm, Accedo. After two years developing the business in this market it's time for Accedo to become a local LatAm player to support our Tier 1 customers in the region. Chile because of its innovation focus fits perfectly with the Accedo vision of the LatAm market
