We re a bit Shy is Christmas

So we decided to enlist Strange Beast to help us reveal something special.

Were excited to announce that this years Christmas window installation comes in the form of a snow globe. Shy The Sun a collective of designers, illustrators, sculptors and animators signed to Strange Beast have created an animated festive treat for you all. The only requirement that we gave the Shy The Sun team was for the window to be a Christmassy theme.

Our snow globe takes inspiration from the classic depictions of quaint, picturesque European villages, tucked away in the snowy mountains at Christmas.

Strange Beast Producer Gerri McCarthy says Who wouldnt want to create a giant Christmas card for the streets of London!? The snow globe came to mind and felt right. The window seemed like a natural container, or rather a natural porthole to a world in which the snow globe could exist. Our plan was to keep it fairly simple so it reflected some of the naivety and innocence of an endearing little Christmas card. Having said that, the scene is littered with little animation loops, so the more you study the details and animation the more you see a kind of a Where's Wally type scene. So hopefully the viewer will see something new every time they walk by.

Well be keeping the installation on display all the way through until the start of January, so please pop by and check it out! If you like what you see and decide youd like to share it with the rest of the world you can hashtag #finishwindow

If you can't get to Wardour St to see it in person click here to view the film.

Merry Christmas!
