GSX 1000 and GSX 1200 PRO - Audio amplifiers for the most demanding gamers Designed in collaboration with Berlin's STROSCHEIN DESIGN, the GSX 1000 and GSX 1200 PRO audio amplifiers are made for competitive gamers seeking to advance to the next level in audio performance. At their launch in August 2016, they introduced a groundbreaking, advanced 7.1 algorithm from Sennheiser that was developed specifically with the needs of gamers in mind. Thanks to Sennheiser's new Binaural Rendering Engine, they create exceptionally immersive Surround Sound, with incredibly precise spatial awareness for the most thrilling immersive experience.
As well as the game-changing technology inside, every aspect of the new audio amplifiers' physical design was created to reflect the needs of the fast-paced gaming experience and to ensure total focus on the game.
Angled for easy visibility when gaming by an integrated kickstand, the LED-lit displays of the GSX 1000 and GSX 1200 PRO take inspiration from the instrumentation on performance cars - giving fast immediate information and allowing players to rapidly adjust sound on the fly using durable physical controls. They feature red on black LED-lit touch panel displays surrounded by an aluminum volume wheel - an interface that ensures total focus on the gaming experience and split-second adjustments to gaming and communication sound. The display even dims down when not in use to reduce distractions and brightens the instant it senses your hand is near.
As eSports becomes more competitive, the GSX series reflects Sennheiser's full expertise in professional audio, ergonomics and design to give gamers a competitive edge when playing at the limit, said Oliver Berger. It is a real honor to receive the iF Label for the GSX 1000 and GSX 1200 PRO as it reflects the fundamental importance that design and ergonomics have to commited gamers.
The HD 2 and HD 4 series - Contemporary style and robust build quality for everyday audio heroes Sennheiser's two new ranges of portable headphones, the on-ear HD 2 models and the around-ear HD 4 series, were also awarded iF Labels in the product design category. Created in collaboration with Nextofkin Creatives, a Singapore-based design agency, the two ranges bring a blend of clean, minimalist design and exacting build quality to products designed for everyday listening.
Both ranges offer great comfort and portability. The headphones feature strong yet lightweight materials and foldable headbands, while their closed design and extra soft earpads help insulate the listener from background noise for enjoying music on the go. In addition to three wired variants, the HD 4 series also comprises the Bluetooth models HD 4.50BTNC and HD 4.40BT which combine high-quality Sennheiser sound and a robust design with the freedom of wireless listening.
