CINEMA 4D Software Technology Innovations Honored by Computer Graphics World Magazine Editorial Staff for Third Year in a Row

Newbury Park, CA -- 22. August 2013 -- MAXON is pleased to announce that CINEMA 4D Release 15 (R15), the latest version of the company's cornerstone 3D motion graphics, visual effects, painting, and rendering software application, has been recognized by the editorial staff of Computer Graphics World Magazine (CGW) as a winner of the CGW Silver Edge Award at SIGGRAPH 2013. Cited for 3D technology innovation and a product that represents the best of show' at the world's premier conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques, this marks the third consecutive year that CINEMA 4D has been a recipient of the esteemed annual award. MAXON was among the more than 180 industry organizations, representing 15 countries that exhibited at the conference this year.

The Silver Edge Awards are not given to the most popular' but rather the most inventive' or those showing the most potential' for the industry, explains Karen Moltenbrey, chief editor at CGW. At SIGGRAPH this year, I saw some amazing things, which illustrates how forward-thinking many of these companies are! Indeed, there were some new companies with new products but just as important are the established firms that continue to innovate, and among them is MAXON. MAXON continues to add amazing features and functions to its already prolific CINEMA 4D, making it one of the industrys must-have products, she adds.

CINEMA 4D R15 made its public debut at SIGGRAPH last month. The next generation release of the widely used 3D software package reinforces MAXON's 25-year industry leadership reputation and is marked by powerful enhancements to modeling, text creation, rendering and sculpting. MAXON is scheduled to ship R15 in early September and will showcase the software suite for the first time in Europe at IBC2013, September 13 -17, at the RAI Amsterdam.
