The shutdown of analog TV transmitters in accordance with the schedule of the phased shutdown of analog television broadcasting has been carried out at several RTTS in Minsk region 16.01.2015

Belarusian Broadcasting Center has informed that in accordance with the schedule of the phased shutdown of analog television broadcasting the shutdown of analog TV transmitters in Minsk region was carried out at the following radio and television broadcasting stations on January 15, 2015:

- in the rural settlement Telyaki of Myadel district broadcasting: - programme ONT at a frequency of 41 TSC , - programme STV at a frequency of 34 TSC, - programme NTV-Belarus at a frequency of 49 TSC , - programme Belarus 2 at a frequency of 51 TSC. In the town Kopyl broadcasting: - programme ONT at a frequency of 40 TSC; - programme STV at a frequency of 52 TSC; - programme NTV-Belarus at a frequency of 36 TSC; - programme Belarus 2 at a frequency of 47 TSC.

- in the town Smorgon of Grodno region broadcasting: - programme ONT at a frequency of 24 TSC,- programme STV at a frequency of 40 TSC, -programme NTV-Belarus at a frequency of 42 TSC, -programme Belarus 1 at a frequency of 36 TSC and programme Belarus 2 at a frequency of 22 TSC.

Currently the reception of publicly-accessible digital programs package in DVB-T standard, broadcasted from the RTTS in the rural settlement Telyaki of Myadel district at a frequency of 44 TSC, ARTTS in Radoshkovichi at a frequency of 48 TSC, RTTS in Kopyl at a frequency of 34 TSC, RTTS in Soligorsk at a frequency of 34 TSC, ART

TS in Stolbtsy at a frequency of 34 TSC, is carried out in the territory of Minsk region.

In accordance with the Technical Development Plan on the expansion and the enhancement of quality of services of RUE Belarusian Broadcasting Center for 2015, the digital television transmitters of DVB-T2 format are to be put in operation in areas where analog television is turning out:

at RTTS in the rural settlement Telyaki at a frequency of 51 TSC (the 2nd layer);

at RTTS in the rural settlement Telyaki at a frequency of 34 TSC (the 3d layer);

at RTTS in Kopyl at a frequency of 47 TSC (3d layer).

In Grodno region the reception of generally available digital programs in DVB-T standard broadcasted from RTTS in Smorgon, ARTTS in Krevo, ARTTS in Strelichi at a frequency of 59 TSC is carried out.

Digital television transmitters of DVB-T2 format are to be put in operation:

- at RTTS in Smorgon of Grodno region at a frequency of 51 TSC (the 2nd layer);

- at RTTS in Smorgon of Grodno region at a frequency of 34 TSC ( the 3d layer).

It bears reminding that, this week there was a press conference on the development of digital television in the Republic of Belarus. The Head of the Telecommunications Department of the Ministry of Communication and Informatization Pavel Petrulevich, Deputy Director General for Technical Issues of RUE Beltelecom Vadim Shaybakov, Chief operating officer of RUE Belarusian Broadcasting Center Andrei Karaim, the representatives of the Ministry of Information, The Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus took part in the conference.
