Vubiquity signs TVOD content deal with Warner Bros. for Altech Node service --

Vubiquity, a global provider of premium content services, has announced a new TVOD content deal with premier Hollywood studio Warner Bros. for video-on-demand service Altech Node. The partnership will substantially extend the new release content available to users of the ground-breaking South African satellite-based TVOD entertainment service.

Altech Node was launched in September 2014 by South African telecoms and technology group Altron TMT, the largest privately owned converged solutions provider on the African continent. Altech Node is a unique service combining an entertainment hub, streaming server, WiFi hotspot and e-commerce platform, alongside an integrated home automation and energy management system, a home security system, and a telephone and videophone, all in one. The company also recently announced it is to be Africa s first certified partner of YouTube s Leanback technology.

Vubiquity provides a fully outsourced TVOD and SVOD service for Altech Node including content acquisition, scheduling, processing, as well as marketing support. Vubiquity, with a global footprint reaching 37 countries, has relationships with the major Hollywood studios, large independents, and a wealth of boutique content providers which enable operators to provide customers with a wide range of premium movies, TV series and documentaries, as well as family entertainment, and a library of well-loved classic films.

Warner Bros. have brought us classic titles such as The Dark Knight, the Harry Potter film series, Inception and Gravity. Our new Warner Bros. content agreement will bring outstanding entertainment within the reach of every home.
