The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded Comcast SportsNet with 15 Emmy Awards, the most in station history. The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards annually honors excellence in news, programming and individual achievement in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
SportsNite, Comcast SportsNet's signature news program, was awarded an Emmy for best sportscast for the 13th time in the station's history. The network's 15 year anniversary retrospective, CSN 15 Year Special, was also honored with an Emmy.
The Mid-Atlantic Emmy awards Comcast SportsNet received this year speak volumes about this network's talented staff, said Brian Monihan, President of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia Comcast SportsNet produces countless hours of original programming each year, and the award-winning quality of this programming is a direct result of the hard-working and gifted employees that I am thrilled to work with each and every day.
