Una pica femenina e intimista que retrata la emocionante y dram tica historia de dos hermanas con destinos antag nicos en un per odo de transformaciones pol ticas y sociales en el Brasil de los a os 30. As es Entre Hermanas, miniserie de cuatro episodios, producida por Globo junto con Conspira o Filmes, que se lanzar durante MIPTV 2018. La historia tiene lugar en el rido noreste brasile o y toca temas importantes como la b squeda de una vida mejor, el machismo, la homosexualidad y, sobre todo, el protagonismo femenino a trav s de la trayectoria de dos mujeres fuertes y valientes que se imponen en la sociedad. Son dramas que preocupan a la humanidad desde siempre y que se presentan de forma emocionante, sensible y actual. La obra es un ejemplo m s de la nueva cosecha de producciones cortas que la empresa brasile a est produciendo y que est ganando los corazones del p blico.
Exhibida en Brasil en la primera semana de enero, Entre Hermanas tuvo una llegada diaria promedio de m s de 44 millones de espectadores. La participaci n del espectador muestra que una historia, aunque sea regional y suceda hace casi un siglo, es contempor nea y pertinente para el p blico de hoy.
Em lia (Marjorie Estiano, Bajo Presi n' y Lado a Lado') y Luc a (Nanda Costa, La Guerrera') viven en el sert o del noreste brasile o. Criadas por la t a, las j venes ven c mo cambia su vida cuando son separadas por el destino y enfrentan prejuicios y sexismo: una, de la alta sociedad de la gran ciudad; la otra, de un grupo de renegados del interior. Rom ntica y so adora, Em lia se casa con un joven rico lleno de secretos; mientras que Luc a, de naturaleza m s salvaje, se enamora de un forajido que provoca sentimientos contradictorios en ella. En esta historia de lucha, coraje y esperanza, las hermanas saben que solo se tienen una a la otra y, sorprendentemente, ambas dejar n sus huellas en el mundo.
Inspirada en la novela A costureira e o cangaceiro ( The Seamstress ), de Frances de Pontes Peebles, la miniserie es una derivaci n de la pel cula hom nima, escrita por Patr cia Andrade y dirigida por Breno Silveira. Filmada en el sert o de Brasil, la obra muestra im genes cinematogr ficas que acompa an los destinos paralelos de las hermanas que, en varios momentos se cruzan al azar, brindando al p blico una experiencia rica en emociones y sensaciones.
Se necesitaron seis semanas de preparaci n para crear con realismo y autenticidad los dos mundos paralelos que las hermanas viven en la historia: el sert o y la ciudad de Recife, de la d cada del 30. Las filmaciones contaron con cerca de 100 t cnicos y se realizaron durante siete semanas en ciudades del interior de estados del noreste brasile o, como Alagoas y Pernambuco. Adem s del elenco principal, m s de dos mil extras participaron en la producci n, que incluy escenas de batallas y de campamentos de refugiados del sert o.
