Fujifilm confirms Onset X series investment by leading UK printer Augustus Martin at drupa 2016 Top-50 UK printer Augustus Martin's print portfolio will now include two Onset X2s and an Onset X3

During a visit to the Fujifilm stand today, representatives from leading UK printer Augustus Martin confirmed a substantial investment in the high performance flatbed Inca Digital Onset X series, which is sold exclusively by Fujifilm. The new investment in the two Onset X2 and one Onset X3 will complement the company's existing Onset S70 and will substantially increase its production capacity, enhancing its ability to produce a diverse range of high-quality, wide format applications at a volume and speed that rivals will struggle to match.

The three new Onset X series machines will split across its Manchester and London facilities - two in London and one in Manchester - further confirming Augustus Martin's reputation as a dominant force in the UK print industry, offering value, quality and reliability to customers nationwide.

The company made its decision to invest as a result of its extensive experience with the Inca platform over many years and across a range of models. We've found the quality and reliability of the Inca platform and the Fujifilm Dimatix inkjet system to be exceptional says Augustus Martin's founder and Joint Managing Director, Lascelle Barrow. The new Onset X series has preserved all the rich hallmarks of its well-earned reputation, while dramatically increasing production capacity - making this investment a relatively easy decision in the end.

Fujifilm's new Uvijet OW ink range for the Onset X series will also enable Augustus Martin to achieve still higher throughputs, with even greater levels of quality and reliability. Fujifilm has developed this UV curable inkjet system specifically for Inca Onset printers and for the display POP and signage markets. These inks provide superior resistance to the post print processes items may require, such as cutting, creasing and routing.
