Double Dutch Enters the Scarehouse For Cannes

Double Dutch announced today it has acquired International sales rights to the horror feature THE SCAREHOUSE from D Films and A Named Viking Entertainment. Double Dutch will begin selling the title in May at the 2014 Cannes March du Film.

The film is written and directed by Gavin Michael Booth and stars Sara Booth (DEADFALL, HEMLOCK GROVE) and Kimberly Sue-Murray (Guillermo Del Torros CRIMSON PEAK, REIGN).

THE SCAREHOUSE follows two former sorority girls, Corey and Elaina, who set up a Halloween fun house on Devils Night for the local college crowd. When the scaring commences their motivations are revealed to be far more sinister as the fun house is bait for a more specific prey: their six former sorority classmates. Once lured inside, their collective history is unraveled as the pair inflicts a terrifying brand of sisterhood.

The feature was produced by Gavin Michael Booth, Mike Carriere, and Sara Booth. It also stars Katherine Barrell (REIGN), Emily Alatalo (THE RETURNED) and Teagan Vincze (MON AMI). D Films will release theatrically in Canada later this year, with Universal handling US digital sales.
