Red Production Company founder Nicola Shindler was honoured at the Women in Film & Television Awards 2017 today, receiving the Argonon Contribution to the Medium Award 2017! Surrane Jones, star of Scott & Bailey, presented Nicola with her award at a ceremony in London this afternoon.
Women in Film & Television UK states that the award recognises a woman who has achieved excellence through her exemplary body of work over a period of at least 15 years, in film, television or digital media.' As Red founder and executive producer, Nicola has spearheaded wildly popular and critically acclaimed shows like Queer as Folk, Clocking Off, Last Tango in Halifax, Happy Valley, Ordinary Lies, Harlan Coben's The Five and Trust Me.
With upcoming shows like Come Home, Butterfly and Harlan Coben's Safe all in production, it seems that she's showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. Congratulations to Nicola, and here's to another 15 great years of TV!
