Final Log Controller

To facilitate effective programme management through the preparation of printed daily programme schedules in order to facilitate the accurate and timeous scheduling of programmes on air.

Prepare the show list, show building three months ahead of scheduling and initiate show changes according to specified deadlines

Prepare the timing of Log incorporating imaging, ads, promos, and music fillers according to style guide

Ensure that the Log is correct, printed on time and downloaded to the FCC area

Meet the specified deadlines for: shows, incoming FC schedules, titling, finalising and printing of log

Load programme titles, subtitles and codes according to specified FCC sheet formats

Reconcile/post the final key log with the actual programme broadcast and ensure any problems or queries are resolved to ensure accurate

Continually feedback to management on the status of processes

The creation of presentation template with programme lay-outs, channel branding and promotional spots according to Programme-, Scheduling-, Sales and Presentation department requirements

Ensuring that all changes to the schedule are effected timeously

Importing of commercial breaks and scheduling of promos as well as fillers at suitable times to the target audience of the channel

Provide excellent client service to all internal departments and external customers of the channel

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Matric or Equivalent

3 years broadcast experience

Proven computer literacy

Knowledge of broadcasting technology

Knowledge of TVBMS would be an advantage

Knowledge of programme management systems

Broad perspective of scheduling

Must be capable of working independently and under pressure

Ability to learn quickly, especially computer systems

High degree of accuracy and the ability to shoulder responsibilities

Ability to adhere to strict deadlines

High ethics and integrity is essential
