Zacuto s New Sony FS700 Grip Relocator & Shooter Rig

The Sony NEX-FS700 HD Super Slow Motion camcorder is quickly becoming a very popular camera. The latest camera offers new and improved options for Sony's NXCAM interchangeable E-mount camcorders with features including; capturing footage at up to 960 frames per second and a range of new capabilities such as 3G HD-SDI output, a top of the line 4K Exmor Super 35 CMOS sensor and much more. With this, Zacuto wanted to give their customers better rigging options when using the FS700, which is why they have developed the FS700 Grip Relocator and the FS700 Shooter Rig.

The FS700 Grip Relocator takes the removable camera grip and attaches it to any 15mm rod with Zacuto's Zwivel technology. This Zwivel technology allows one to position the handle at an angle for comfort and better rig compatibility. Now one can control features like: Start/Stop, Photo, 4x/8x expandable focus, and push-button auto iris without removing a hand from the rig.

Thanks to the Grip Relocator I found that I could keep the camera on my shoulder and close to my eye for extended periods of time, said Chris Weatherly, Documentary Filmmaker. This saves loads of time in fast moving run and gun situations. The closer the camera is to your eye the less time it takes to recompose . The Sony FS700 Shooter is a combination of comfort and ease. This shoulder mounted kit has the convenience of an ENG style camera including Zacutos Mini Baseplate, Shoulder Pad, a 7lb weight for counterbalance and their Sony FS700 Grip Relocator. The FS700 Shooter Rig quick releases on and off a tripod and is designed to be used with an offset monitor or EVF. Need to add more accessories to the kit?
