DuArt Adds Edit Bays And Two Insert Stages To Post Production Facility

DuArt, New York City's comprehensive audio, video and digital media post facility, has added new capacity for its production and post clients. The latest expansion at DuArt includes 21 additional edit bays, along with two new insert stages.

The new edit bays were constructed on DuArt's 7th floor, a fully renovated space that features seven-foot windows on all four exposures, 11-foot ceilings, exposed brick and appealing Midtown views. Each edit bay, which can also be quickly converted into production office space, provides fiber and ethernet connectivity, as well as wireless and hard-wired internet. DuArt's building is accessible 24/7 and is centrally located in midtown Manhattan with proximity to all subway lines.

On the third floor, production clients are making use of DuArt's two new insert stages. The studios are ideal for shooting green screens or interviews, with hair/makeup and wardrobe rooms just next door. A freight elevator and loading dock are available for easy load in and out.

DuArt's newest facilities have been in demand immediately upon launch, hosting clients including MTV2, Park Slope Productions, The Documentary Group and other short-term and long-term tenants.

This latest expansion complements the 54 existing production suites and edit bays already available at DuArt. In May, the facility added three new audio production rooms for a total of seven - all of those suites are suitable for a wide range of VO uses, with an emphasis on audio books and television narration.

DuArt's newest additions add to the wide range of offerings for post-production at their 12-story, Midtown building on 55th Street and Broadway. The wide range of unscripted TV series, factual programming, documentaries, and digital media -- from network clients to independent producers -- at the facility recently includes projects for MTV2, True Entertainment, Park Slope Productions, American Documentary, Betterdays Media, Coneflower Productions, Middlemarch Films, MSG Networks, The Pokemon Company International.

Critically praised indie film work recently posted at DuArt includes Jehane Noujaim's The Square, winner of 2013 Sundance Festival Audience Award for World Cinema Documentary; Alison Klayman's Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry, winner Silver Baton at the Alfred I. duPont Columbia University Award; James E. Duff's Hank and Asha, winner of 2013 Slamdance Film Festival Audience Award for Feature Narrative. Additionally, Coneflower Productions scored four Emmy Nominations for An Original Duckumentary for PBS Nature, and the Sundance-screened Running from Crazy from two-time Academy Award-winning director Barbara Kopple.
