The Moroccan SNRT centralizes its infrastructure of production of news with EVS EVS news production solutions, including server XS3, boost HD workflow of the Moroccan public broadcaster.

The Moroccan public broadcaster SNRT (national society of broadcasting and Television) has relied on the technology of EVS to launch a new fully centralized news HD production infrastructure.

SNRT, which operates 10 television stations, will use EVS technology in their migration to high definition. With servers from EVS XS3 medioa at its core, the news production workflow will be shared by SNRT channels to produce news and breaking news. This new work scheme will allow lower your overall operating costs and provide shared access to content recorded by all channels.

With multiple products in a single workflow HD at its headquarters in Rabat, the news of EVS production infrastructure will allow efficient intake of content, creation, management, editing and playout.

Fai al Laraichi, CEO of SNRT, acknowledges that "since we operate ten channels at the same time, having a centralized intelligent workflow that is fully interoperable is very important. When multiple programs back-to-back occur as we do, we need technology that will allow our production teams to work as quickly and efficiently as possible."

Workflow

The intake of content, specially designed news production solution has eight servers XS3, giving to SNRT up to 36 channels of I/O (HD or SD). These are used to ingest multiple sources encoding natively with XDCAM HD 50 codec as well as live broadcast channels. The servers are linked with XNet, media of EVS live network. This means that any content recorded on the servers of SNRT is instantly available to any operator or editor and does without interrupting the different intakes in progress.

The rest of the news production solution is a modular workflow composed of multiple technologies EVS: IPDirector, XTAccess, XStore and Xedio suite, including its CleanEdit virtual editing software. The solution allows a simple control feeds live intake and the importation of additional files from the operations of ENG.

With this workflow, SNRT can create high-resolution and proxy files at the same time so that the content is available and accessible for production and editing equipment. Once ingestado, content can be stored in the central storage installation online and be available for an easy media management, such as the attribution of metadata or the segregation of content. Throughout the workflow, users can easily navigate and view content anywhere that you save, either in the central storage or in the infrastructure servers XS3.

All this content will be available for a team of 40 journalists that may benefit is of processes of post-production that are much more efficient at the time. The integrated solution allows them to start editing without having to transfer any file, start working on material for intake and applied graphics or voice over content quickly and easily.

Once completed the creation and management of content, the XS3 can play it without having to render the average, which means that you can be in the air in a matter of seconds after ingestado. This can be done directly by the server or triggers of automation control of output of SNRT or writing (NRCS) control system.

EVS technology workflow is fully interoperable with systems of third parties of SNRT as their systems of Octopus NRCS, Vizrt graphics Final Cut Pro editing suites.
