Evertz UHD production solution enables Croatels outside broadcast production truck

Evertz, the global leader in media and entertainment technology solutions, announces the launch of Croatels latest UHD outside broadcast truck UHD OB 5 with a complete Evertz UHD infrastructure solution.

Croatel, a leading independent production and playout facility service provider based in Zagreb, Croatia, was formed in 1994 as the first licensed satellite service provider company in the country. Croatel has been active on the market for over 20 years, offering HDTV sports production and professional satellite communication services.

Croatel has launched its new UHD OB5 truck built on a Volvo FM 420 chassis; with native support for 4K/UHD live production workflows, a first in the south-east European market. UHD OB5 features a robust SDI infrastructure with an Evertz 288x288 EQX router at its core providing audio embedding and deembedding abilities and additional XLINK outputs for multiviewing purposes. Acting as the audio portion of the core router system the Evertz EMR audio router integrates embedded audio, discrete AES, analogue audio and MADI audio as well as A-Link audio connections directly in and out of a Studer Vista 5 M3 Audio mixer providing ultra-flexible any-to-any mono routing capabilities.

Signal conversion and distribution functions are handled by Evertz SDI distribution amplifiers and 7814UDX-AES8-4K UHD up/down/cross converters, which can be optionally provisioned for HDR cross transformation. Evertz 3067VIP multi image display processor, the industrys most advanced multiviewer with support for signal formats including SDI, HDMI, J2K, RDD37 (ASPEN), ST 2022-6 and 2110 is being utilized for onboard monitoring. In addition, Evertz 5601MSC Master Timing Generator, a fully integrated timing solution, with all of the synchronization signals required for an OB truck, is being utilized.
