USC Installs Daktronics LED Displays Across Four Athletics Venues

The University of Southern California has contracted Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to manufacture and install 22 LED displays across four athletics venues: LA Memorial Coliseum, Galen Center, Dedeaux Field, and Rawlinson Stadium. Installations were completed in 2025.

LA Memorial Coliseum

A new 40-foot-high by 150-foot-wide display with 10mm pixel spacing has been installed in the west end zone, totaling more than 5 million LEDs - an increase of 238% over the previous display.

The increase in resolution of this video display will be a noticeable difference for everyone attending an event inside LA Memorial Coliseum, says Robin Hall, Regional Sales Manager, Daktronics. We're excited to be working with our partners in LA and at USC on this project and to be providing multiple displays throughout campus to improve the live event experience for Trojans fans.

Galen Center

The Galen Center, home of Trojans Basketball, features a new centerhung display system with four main video displays (15 feet high by 31 feet wide each) and four corner displays (15 feet high by 3 feet wide each), all with 3.9mm pixel spacing. The centerhung underbelly features two displays (7.5 feet high by 17 feet wide each) with 2.5mm pixel spacing. A ribbon display circles the seating fascia at 2.5 feet high by 549 feet wide with 10mm pixel spacing. Six courtside scorer's tables each measure 2.5 feet high by nearly 10 feet wide with 3.9mm pixel spacing. Two exterior marquee displays at Tilly Tower each measure 24 feet high by 31 feet wide with 10mm pixel spacing.

Dedeaux Field

The baseball venue features a new display measuring 25 feet high by 50 feet wide with 10mm pixel spacing, 2.75 times larger than the previous display, with a resolution improvement from 23mm to 10mm pixel spacing.

Rawlinson Stadium

The soccer venue features a new 11-foot-high by 20-foot-wide display with 10mm pixel spacing.

All main video displays support variable content zoning for live video, instant replays, statistics, graphics, animations, and sponsorship messages. All venues are also receiving Daktronics' Show Control solution and a digital content package from Daktronics Creative Services.
