Minerva and Accedo Announce Definitive Partner and Resale Agreement Agreement enables resale of Accedo applications and marks start of collaborative development of applications to support evolving needs of pay TV service providers.
London, 18 March 2013 Minerva Networks, a leading provider of software solutions for the delivery of television services, and Accedo, the global market leader in TV application solutions, today announced a partner and global resale agreement. Accedo will become a Minerva preferred partner for app stores and applications, and Minerva will resell Accedos application services worldwide. Service providers will be able to seamlessly integrate Accedos rich application solutions and content with Minervas award winning iTVFusion platform to deliver a compelling and intuitive television experience.
Through this agreement, well be able to offer a feature rich solution that enables pay TV operators to differentiate their service critical in todays competitive markets, said Jean-Georges Fritsch, EVP of Products for Minerva. We look forward to working with Accedo to leverage our platform across Smart TVs and other connected consumer devices.
Accedos app store includes numerous applications designed for use and consumption on the television set, including casual gaming, news, sports, weather, and social media integration. These applications will be accessible through Minervas set-top-box client and deployable across xDSL, FTTH, and HFC networks. The resale portion of the agreement simplifies the licensing process and costs traditionally associated with third-party applications integration..
