Al separar la tarea de grabaci n del streaming en una misma unidad integrada, Matrox Monarch HD se asegura de que las redes de entrega de contenidos (CDN, del ingl s Content Delivery Network) se centran en distribuir al p blico video de calidad mientras se controla la calidad del archivo.
Desde cualquier fuente de entrada HDMI, como una c mara o un selector, Matrox Monarch HD genera una transmisi n con codificaci n H.264 que cumple con los protocolos RTSP o RTMP. Al mismo tiempo que codifica las se ales de video con unas tasas de bits adecuadas para el streaming en directo, Matrox Monarch HD puede grabar de manera simult nea un archivo MP4 de alta calidad en una tarjeta SD, una unidad USB o una unidad de red asignada. Adem s, Matrox Monarch HD se controla de forma remota desde cualquier PC o dispositivo m vil que disponga de explorador de Internet.
Si merece la pena transmitir un evento, tambi n la merece grabarlo con la mejor calidad posible. Cuanto mejor sea la calidad de grabaci n, mayor valor tendr el contenido producido con posterioridad. Estos contenidos pueden ofrecerse a la audiencia como archivos VOD generados en un plazo muy corto o como un resumen de los mejores momentos completamente editado y finalizado.
Ya que la calidad de la grabaci n no deber a verse afectada por el ancho de banda de carga, Matrox Monarch HD permite establecer tasas de bits de hasta 30 Mbps mientras que se transmite simult neamente a 20 Mbps.

Matrox Monarch HD graba video H.264 de alta calidad como archivos MP4, lo que ofrece la m xima flexibilidad para todas las aplicaciones. Su dise o permite colocarlo con facilidad tanto sobre una mesa como montado en bastidor - en una bandeja 1RU pueden montarse hasta tres unidades. El software ha sido desarrollado sobre un SO Linux integrado seguro, por lo que no hay ning n riesgo de que se realicen actualizaciones autom ticas o no programadas con servidores de terceros.
Es de destacar que, tanto si se est distribuyendo contenido en vivo a servidores Flash o Wowza como a cualquier red CDN conocida, la tarea resulta muy sencilla gracias a la compatibilidad de Matrox Monarch HD con diversos protocolos de Internet para streaming. Sus tiles ajustes de codificaci n preestablecidos permiten seleccionar la resoluci n m s apropiada de acuerdo al ancho de banda disponible. Los par metros de streaming de codificaci n objetivo solo deben especificarse una vez y se guardan como perfil exclusivo. Es posible guardar varios perfiles si el dispositivo se emplea en entornos diferentes. Cada perfil puede cargarse al instante sin tener que volver a introducir los datos.
Matrox Monarch HD permite seleccionar entre una amplia gama de tipos de soportes de grabaci n. Utilice una unidad o dispositivo USB cuando la movilidad sea importante. Una tarjeta SD puede ser la mejor opci n cuando se requiere una soluci n m s segura y compacta. Como alternativa, una unidad de sistema en un PC de la red puede resultar extremadamente til cuando varias personas necesitan acceder al metraje.
