Christie hires Chris Connett, a historic Dolby, for Captain Live Audio The new man of Christie, who was in charge of the launch of audio immersive Atmos platform, now assumes the challenge of developing market with revolutionary technology Christie Ribbon immersive cinema.
Christie It has appointed Chris Connett director market development of Live Audio (EMEA). Experience Connett in the sector, backed up by his sixteen years at Dolby, where it developed a wide range of tasks from testing or counselling and assistance with applications, engineering Director of sales of film products for the EMEA area, was what pushed Christie to seek the services of this professional.
The new man of Christie, who was in charge of the launch of Atmos, the innovative platform, Dolby sound, declares himself to be delighted to join our company and take on the challenge of developing the market with revolutionary technology Christie Ribbon immersive cinema, at a time in which cinema display prepares for major improvements in the field of sound.
Graduate in electronics and technical experience prior to joining the sales sector, has witnessed huge changes lived by technology and cinema in the last sixteen years. "When I started to visit movie theaters, often to resolve problems associated with processors, all sound was that of 35 mm, i.e. a non-digital optical format film", commented Connett.
"Today, both exhibitors and audiences are much more outstanding quality of sound, and more even with large-format (PLF) cinema screens, which has led to the film directors and post-production houses to explore the possibilities of sound that offer immersive formats", he adds.
"The years of close relationship that Christie has maintained with Dolby, and which now extends to Atmos, do you are very familiar with their products.
