HISPASAT ha iniciado la construcci n de nuevas infraestructuras en Brasil para la operaci n de su flota de sat lites. ste ser el nuevo centro de control de sat lites de su filial brasile a, Hispamar, participada tambi n por Oi.
El crecimiento del grupo Hispasat ha hecho necesario un espacio mayor que el actual para albergar todo el equipamiento de control necesario. Por ello, el operador brasile o adquiri una parcela en Serviente, R o de Janeiro, a donde ser n transferidos los servicios que actualmente presta el centro de control de sat lites de Hispamar en Flamengo y Guaratiba. Adem s, tambi n se instalar aqu la nueva estaci n terrena desde la que se controlar el futuro sat lite Amazonas 5, cuya fecha prevista de lanzamiento es 2017.
El Amazonas 5 proporcionar capacidad de banda Ka para la prestaci n de nuevos servicios de banda ancha en Brasil y el resto de Am rica Latina. El nuevo sat lite tambi n contar con capacidad de banda Ku para proporcionar servicios audiovisuales, redes corporativas y otras soluciones de telecomunicaciones.
El nuevo centro de Serviente permitir futuras expansiones para los pr ximos a os. Desde aqu se operar n los sat lites Amazonas, ubicados en 61 Oeste, y los futuros que se localicen en 74 Oeste, posici n orbital adquirida en 2015.
Se prev que las obras del nuevo centro est n finalizadas en un plazo de nueve meses. El nuevo proyecto supone una inversi n de aproximadamente 40 millones de reales brasile os, que incluyen la compra de la parcela, gastos de licencia, construcci n y gastos de traslado al nuevo centro. Las nuevas instalaciones de contar n con 20 antenas y equipamiento de tecnolog a avanzada. En 2017, una vez finalizadas las obras y transferidos los servicios a Serviente, el centro de Guaratiba permanecer operativo como back-up. Seg n Edio Gomes, director t cnico de Hispamar, adem s de los treinta profesionales de Hispamar que estar n trabajando en la nueva estaci n con disponibilidad 24/7, Serviente generar alrededor de 40 puesto de trabajo indirectos .
Adem s, en el marco de la pol tica de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa de Hispasat y en relaci n a su compromiso con el respeto al medio ambiente, la nueva estaci n adoptar pr cticas sostenibles como la implementaci n de un sistema de aprovechamiento de aguas pluviales, donde el agua ser capturada y almacenada para su posterior uso, y, en un futuro, la instalaci n de un panel solar.
