AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Insurance Exchange Selects HP to Help Manage Growth15-year relationship extended as insurer grows coast-to-coast
PALO ALTO, Calif., March 8, 2013 HP today announced that AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Insurance Exchange (AAA NCNU IE) has selected HP to support the firm's mainframe environment as the company grows from a regional to a national provider of insurance products to AAA members in 23 states plus Washington, D.C.
Becoming a top-tier, coast-to-coast insurance company requires system quality and stability, said Kory Jensen, vice president, IT Operations, AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Insurance Exchange. The HP team provides stable applications and mainframe operations while also adding resource flexibility we need to support our growth.
Under the terms of the contract, HP will continue augmenting AAA NCNU IE's staff to maintain applications and administer databases in support of membership, policies, claims and other business operations.
AAA NCNU IE also will continue using HP Data Center Services and other infrastructure services from HP in support of the firm's daily operations. HP will continue to host and manage AAA NCNU IE's mainframe computers with services that include maintenance, monitoring and business continuity. These services allow AAA NCNU IE to concentrate on providing excellent insurance products and services to its growing customer base.
Technology is a key accelerator and enabler, said Bruce Pearce, vice president and general manager, U.S. Financial Services and Canada, HP. The HP team will continue to use its proven technology expertise to maintain a robust, flexible technology environment that supports the company's growth goals.
HP's premier Americas client event, HP Discover, takes place June 11-13 in Las Vegas.
