Endemol to host Hollywood talent at MIPTV 0

ENDEMOL TO HOST HOLLYWOOD TALENT AT MIPTV 2013 Endemol, the world's largest independent production company, today announced that the leading talent from the new drama series Low Winter Sun, a co-production between Endemol Studios and AMC Studios, and hit TV series Steve Harvey will be appearing at MIPTV 2013.

Hollywood actors Mark Strong ( Zero Dark Thirty', Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy') and Lennie James ( Hung', The Walking Dead', Jericho') will be in Cannes with showrunner Chris Mundy ( Criminal Minds', Cold Case') to represent Low Winter Sun; the new crime drama premiering on AMC later this year. A press conference featuring all three alongside representatives from Endemol Studios will be held on Monday 8th April in the Blue Lounge, Level 4, Palais des Festivals from 14.30 to 15.30.

TV personality, comedian, radio show host, best-selling author and the 2013 People's Choice Award winner for Favorite New Talk Show Host Steve Harvey will be in town to represent his hit US syndicated daytime series, Steve Harvey. Steve Harvey is produced by Endemol USA and is distributed by NBCUniversal, with Endemol Worldwide Distribution handling outside the US. Endemol will host a special Steve Harvey cocktail party for buyers and press at the Carlton Hotel on Monday 8th April from 17:30.

Year-to-date (2013) Steve Harvey is the #1 new syndicated show in women (25-54). The series delivers a high concentration of advertiser friendly viewers. National ratings for Steve Harvey are up 33% in households from his premiere week to his current week and 38% among Women 25-54. In the multi-topic show, Harvey talks to real people with real issues in a comedic and common sense way. Steve Harvey has been renewed by NBC for the 2013/2014 season and upgraded on top stations across the U.S.

Low Winter Sun is a contemporary story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred. It begins with the murder of a cop by a fellow Detroit detective. Seemingly the perfect crime, in reality, the murder activates forces that will forever alter the detective's life, and pull him into the heart of the Detroit underworld. Low Winter Sun is based on the 2006 award-winning British two-part mini-series of the same name written by Simon Donald and produced by Tiger Aspect Productions (an Endemol Company).

It was recently announced that Fox International Channels acquired the exclusive first Pay-TV window rights for the Low Winter Sun outside of the U.S, Canada and France and will launch in 120 countries in Latin America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa in 2013.

Steve Harvey brings a funny, fresh and insightful approach to everyday problems. The series has increased 68 stations' time period rankings in the USA market. Among the especially sought after female demographics in his timeslot, Harvey was up 133 percent, year over year, with women 18-34, 100 percent with 18-49-ers and 80 percent among 25-54-year-olds.

Drawing from his varied life experiences, Harvey entertains, informs and inspires, covering a vast range of relatable topics such as marriage, dating, finance, parenting, work place issues, friendship and the daily dramas we face throughout our lives, all with his unique comedic spin.
