EUROVISION delivering NBA content worldwide

This autumn EUROVISION began a unique, worldwide transmission partnership with the USA's most global of sports federations the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Since then, EUROVISION has been distributing live NBA coverage of games, NBA TV and other programming to the league's international TV and digital media partners to Europe, the Middle East, Central America, South America, Asia and Africa.

Year-round, EUROVISION will transmit the NBA's HD content from live games, NBA TV (the league's 24-hour network), highlight shows such as NBA Action and NBA Daily and other NBA programming.

The first NBA programming transmitted was the October 5 preseason game in Istanbul between the Boston Celtics and Turkish basketball power Fenerbahce Ulker.

The first NBA regular-season game was on opening night of the 2012-13 NBA season on October 30, when the Celtics lost to defending NBA Champion Miami Heat.

In this film, EUROVISION staff in Switzerland and the USA explain why the NBA chose EUROVISION over the rest. We also learn about the pioneering, tailor-made technical solution that makes it all possible.

Together, EUROVISION and the NBA have built a full-time operational fibre link connecting NBA Entertainment in Secaucus, New Jersey, to the EUROVISION New York City bureau and its Technical Operations Center (TOC) in Washington, D.C.

This groundbreaking arrangement with the NBA is the latest in a string of comprehensive transmissions and service deals that EUROVISION has with big-hitting world sports bodies.
