eOne Acquires All U.S. Rights To Dramatic Comedy Starring Oscar Winning Actor Richard Dreyfuss And Rising Star Tatiana Maslany,Directed By Jason Priestley

AFM / SANTA MONICA (November 13, 2014) - Breakthrough Entertainment has sold all US rights for the award-winning independent dramatic comedy Cas & Dylan to Entertainment One (eOne), it was announced today by Tim Brown, Executive Vice President, Feature Films of Breakthrough Entertainment.

Cas & Dylan stars Academy Award-winning Best Actor Richard Dreyfuss as a dying doctor whose plans to check out on his own terms take a reluctant detour when he inadvertently winds up on the lam with an anything-but-normal 22-year-old girl portrayed by acclaimed film and television actress Tatiana Maslany.

Produced by Mark Montefiore's Montefiore Films, Cas & Dylan was shot on location in Northern Ontario. The film is written by Jessie Gabe ( Mr. D, Being Erica ), and stars Dreyfuss (The Goodbye Girl, Jaws, Mr. Holland's Opus, What About Bob?) and Maslany (winner of Sundance Special Jury prize for Grown Up Movie Star, and lead in Picture Day; hit science fiction television series Orphan Black) and marks the narrative theatrical directorial debut of television and film star Jason Priestley.

Breakthrough Entertainment acquired distribution rights to Cas & Dylan for the Telefilm, OMDC, NOHF and Harold Greenburg-funded film in 2013.

The all rights deal was brokered by Breakthrough Entertainment's Tim Brown and eOne's Berry Meyerowitz.
