Top university purchases Pablo Rio for stereoscopic teaching videos
Slovakias leading medical school, Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, has chosen Quantel Pablo Rio 4K high-quality color and finishing software for the recording and finishing of stereoscopic 3D videos of medical procedures. The faculty, a research arm of Bratislavas Comenius University, has also purchased a Neo Nano panel for enhanced and interactive stereo and color control. The Pablo Rio system was sold via Quantels Slovakia-based partner, AVDigital s.r.o.
The videos created on Pablo Rio will be used to demonstrate surgical techniques to medical students - an area where stereoscopic 3D has proven itself particularly useful in giving students an extra dimension to their learning.
Pablo Rio is Quantels high quality color and finishing system that provides the ultimate productive workflow for 2D and S3D projects. Pablo Rio runs on high performance PC hardware and exploits NVIDIA Maximus multi-GPU technology to deliver true interactivity and maximum productivity. Pablo Rio is available as software only and as a range of Quantel-backed turnkey systems.
Mgr. Ivana vrkov, Director of AKAS (Academic Library and Audiovisual Centre) at Jessenius Medical Faculty said, "We are very excited to welcome such advanced Stereo3D technology to our faculty to improve our teaching methods. Pablo Rio will allow us to produce instructional and documentary movies at a fast pace and at high quality which is very important in surgery practise."
