The two lineups are revealed for Hand Star Game 2013

Fans choose J r me Fernandez and Mikkel Hansen to be the captains

Seven days of D1 championships have given handball fans a chance to pick the captains for each team. Led by PSG Handball coach Philippe Gardent, the best French D1 players will confront the championships best foreign players, who will be led by Patrick Cazal, coach for Dunkerque Handball Grand Littoral. For the first time in France, Bercy will host D1s best handball players as they face off for a spectacular match, demonstrating their full range of talent for speed, strength and agility. Since the beginning of the championship, handball fans have been voting each week for their favourite French and foreign players. The French player J r me Fernandez, who played with Fenix Toulouse Handball, and the Danish player Mikkel Hansen, who plays for PSG Handball, will be the captains of their respective teams, having each received the greatest number of votes from fans.

On 4 November, a panel of journalists from the national and regional media gathered in the offices of the daily newspaper LEquipe for an exceptional meeting that was organised to determine the players for each team, as well as the two captains, according to the choices made by fans. Here is the list of the players who were selected:

The Hand Star Game will be held on Saturday, 7 December, at 5 p.m., at the Paris-Bercy Palais Omnisport. In addition to the match between the best French and best foreign players, numerous activities and contests will be held throughout the event.
