Space City Home Network (SCHN) has launched its new SCHN direct-to-consumer (DTC) and TV Everywhere (TVE) streaming app that lets viewers watch the Houston Rockets and Houston Astros directly from their devices without requiring a cable or satellite subscription. Prior to Tuesday's SCHN launch, the Rockets and Astros were the lone NBA and MLB teams, respectively, not to have their games available on a DTC streaming app.
Available now on web browsers at SCHNPLUS.com as well as on iOS, Android, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV -with more platforms coming soon- the SCHN app delivers all Space City Home Network programming including live coverage of the Houston Rockets (territorial restrictions apply) and Houston Astros, behind- the- scenes features, and on-demand content.

Our goal has always been to deliver the highest-quality viewing experience and give the best access for Houston Astros and Houston Rockets fans. The launch of our direct-to-consumer app marks a major step forward in how fans can connect with their favorite teams.
SCHN can now be purchased at SCHNPLUS.com for $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year (plus tax). Fans who already have Space City Home Network through a participating cable, satellite or streaming provider will be able to authenticate into the new app to access the content at no additional cost.
We're thrilled to offer another great option to ensure fans have access to watch games, and the SCHN streaming app makes it easier than ever to cheer on the Rockets, says Rockets Alternate Governor Patrick Fertitta. Providing fans with a convenient way to watch their favorite teams, along with our network's award-winning programming, was an essential addition. This season feels special, and we're committed to exploring new ways to elevate our broadcasts for Rockets fans to enjoy.
The Astros are always committed to delivering a best-in-class fan experience, and we are excited that the SCHN app will now provide Astros fans another way to watch baseball from their favorite team, states Jim Crane, Owner and Chairman, Houston Astros. Providing fans options on how they view our games is important as we continue to grow the game - we want to make it accessible to as large an audience as possible. We are looking forward to the 2026 season and more Astros fans watching our players compete for another championship.
SCHN is available to customers in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and the following counties in New Mexico: Dona Ana, Eddy, Lea, Chaves, Roosevelt, Curry, Quay, Union and Debaca.
SCHN is a joint venture owned by the Houston Astros and Houston Rockets and serves as the exclusive local TV home for both teams. The regional sports network was launched after the two teams jointly purchased AT&T SportsNet Southwest from Warner Bros. Discovery in September 2023.
