Hiltron Communications reports a well attended and successful Space Tech Expo exhibition, held at the Messe Bremen from Tuesday November 18 through Thursday November 20. The show attracted nearly 1,000 exhibiting companies and space-related organizations encompassing five halls of the convention center and supported by conferences on all three days.

Exhibiting as a member of the DeSK (Deutsches Zentrum f r Satelliten-Kommunication e.V. the German Center for Satellite-Communications association) proved a useful catalyst for discussions with existing and potential customers as well as a wide spectrum of satcom technology partners. The show attracted visitors from many European countries as well as some from further afield and reflected the sustained demand for satellite-based solutions across an expanding number of applications.

The emphasis of Hiltron s presence at Space Tech Expo 2025 was on the systems design and construction skills which have confirmed the company for many years as Germany s leading satcom and wireless communication system integrator. These embrace satellite uplinks to television, radio and data; VSAT systems; TVRO systems for cable headends and terrestrial retransmission stations; satellite monitoring systems; digital satellite newsgathering systems; fiber-optic systems; and dual-band motorized mounts for C-band and Ku-band antennas of up to 4.9 meter diameter.

Hiltron also promoted its broad range of own-manufacturer products, developed for various projects in recent years before being made available standalone or within subsequent systems. Hiltron-manufactured products include the HMAM motorized antenna mount, the HMAM-PM motorized polarmount antenna, the HACU antenna control unit, the HRMU redundancy and monitoring unit, the HMCS-MCR monitoring and control system and the HDCU de-icing control unit.

Centre of attention in the Hiltron product range, the latest-generation HMAM-XY motorized antenna mount was first exhibited at IBC Amsterdam in September 2024 and is now an established part of the Hiltron product portfolio. Designed for receive and transmit applications, the HMAM-XY provides very high pointing and tracking accuracy with low backlash plus full hemispheric coverage with no zenith keyholes. High-accuracy absolute-reference encoders are incorporated. Tracking velocity is up to 10 degrees per second with 6 degrees per second squared maximum acceleration and within 0.05% accuracy. Elevation range is +5 to +175 degrees. Lateral rotation can be performed through a continuous 360 degrees. L, S, C, X, Ku and Ka bands with circular or linear polarisation are supported. Multiband support is available as an option. Operation is via Hiltron's HACU antenna control unit which includes TLE/NORAD tracking capabilities.
