Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Announces Updates to Board of Directors

The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) today announced several updates to its Board of Directors. As part of HPA's annual governance cycle, new leadership terms begin on January 1 and include the election of new officers, the appointment of new board members and the election of a new board President.

The Board has elected Renard T. Jenkins as President. Jenkins previously served as Vice President of the organization as well as Co-Chair of the ALL Committee, and was the former Board Liaison for the Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP) Program. He is also the former President of Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). Craig German was elected to serve as Vice President. German is the former Secretary and continues to serve as Board Liaison for both YEP and ALL. Rosanna Marino was elected to serve as Secretary. Marino will also continue to serve as Program Committee Co-Chair and as Board Liaison for Women in Post (WIP). Graylind Wherry was elected to continue to serve in his role as Treasurer.

Joining the Board are Sohonet's Chuck Parker, Adobe's Morgan Prygrocki, and Susan Sachs, who all bring expertise from across the media industry and will help guide the organization through its next phase of growth and strategic initiatives. Prygrocki will also serve as Board Liaison for the YEP program.

It is an honor to serve as President of the Hollywood Professional Association at a moment of profound transformation for our industry, Jenkins explains. HPA stands at the intersection of artistry, technology, and leadership, and I deeply value the members and volunteers who make this community a trusted space for innovation and progress. As we move into the new year, I look forward to helping HPA further connect artists, technologists, and executives in a manner that creates new opportunities for collaboration, learning, and a shared vision as we shape the future of storytelling and media together.

The organization recognizes Kari Grubin for her dedicated service and contributions during her year-long term and extends its appreciation for her leadership and commitment. While stepping down from the presidency, Grubin will continue to participate in HPA activities including contributing to the planning of the 2026 Tech Retreat.

Since joining the HPA in 2002, Grubin has been privileged to volunteer and support its mission to advance the professional media industry. I am extremely proud of my years of involvement and of my accomplishments, especially in founding the Women in Post and Young Entertainment Professionals programs, which have helped foster new opportunities and leadership in our community, Grubin shared.
