Stephan Heimbecher, director de innovaci n y estandarizaci n en Sky Alemania, ha repasado en la 4K Summit que se celebra estos d as en M laga algunos de los hitos del operador en relaci n a la Ultra Alta Definici n.
Su primera experiencia se remota a diciembre de 2012 cuando capturaron un partido de las Bundesliga en Ultra Alta Definici n utilizando una c mara Sony F65 en un concepto de producci n m s cinematogr fico que televisivo. A lo largo de 2013 y 2014 se desarrollaron una docena de experiencias piloto en campos de f tbol. La primera producci n de extremo a extremo en 4K UHD en directo se llev a cabo en abril de 2014 utilizando seis c maras en una experiencia en la que pudieron testar diferentes posibilidades tecnol gicas.
Esta experiencia nos permiti tomar conciencia de que podr amos combinar UHD y HD en la misma producci n , coment .
Entre mediados de 2015 y mediados de 2016 Sky estuvo casi un a o sin producir nada en UHD hasta aclarar c mo derivar a la estandarizaci n de la UHD HDR. En agosto de 2015, llev a cabo una prueba de extremo en extremo en la Supercopa de 2015 con una emisi n piloto en HDR BT.2100.
En julio de 2016, realizan en multic mara (4 c maras) en HD SDR y UHD HDR algunos partidos de un campeonato de voley playa poniendo a prueba la posibilidad del HDR tanto en HLG como en PQ.
Esta experiencia nos sirvi para crear una gu a de producci n sobre c mo afrontar una producci n de este tipo en condiciones extremas de luz, enfoque en movimiento r pido , reconoci .
En octubre de 2016 Sky Alemania lanz oficialmente dos canales lineales en UHD y un nuevo set-top box que soporta Ultra Alta Definici n. Gracias a la colaboraci n con Sky UK estos canales mantienen una programaci n estable en UHD con la emisi n de eventos deportivos, cine y ficci n.
Ahora, Sky tiene la vista puesta en dos grandes citas deportivas: Rusia 2018 y Tokio 2020.
