Vaddio Branches into ePTZ Cameras for Video Conferencing
Bringing one-on-one video calls to the hybrid office
Minnetonka, Minn., USA (JULY, 2021) Vaddio recently introduced their first intelligent auto-framing camera for videoconferencing and lecture capture applications.
As companies start to bring employees back into the offices, we see the growth in hybrid approaches of remote work and in-person collaboration. But with people using Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls throughout the pandemic, there are new, higher expectations of the video conference experience, said Paul Cords, Director of Product Management with Vaddio, a brand of Legrand | AV. People expect to plug in their laptop and use the camera in the room without any hiccups. They want the camera in the room to be just as easy and personal as turning on their laptop webcam.
The IntelliSHOT ePTZ USB camera begins with the stunning video quality of Vaddio's Elite RoboSHOT camera line and amplifies the performance with its new IntelliFrame motion tracking technology. Professional AV Integrators install the camera in the conference room and fine-tune the auto-framing experience based on the room environment and the end user's preferences for how sensitive the camera adjusts to people exiting and entering the video call. With two built-in microphones and the ability to interface with room audio systems, the camera is ideal for mid to large-sized meeting and conference rooms with simple pre-configurations that make installing and operating the camera effortless.
With hybrid learning still a critical option for higher education institutions, the IntelliSHOT camera elevates the remote experience with presenter tracking features and by incorporating camera movement to engage audiences, said Cords. Vaddio's long history of presenter tracking solutions in the education space has allowed us to develop a motion tracking solution that is reliable and far superior to facial recognition options currently available. AV managers can rest assured the professor will always be on the screen regardless of the environment.
With 30x zoom, USB 3.0, HDMI, built-in microphones, and audio I/O, the IntelliSHOT camera fills the need for a camera system that can support large classrooms and be a drop-in replacement where there is an existing audio system. The IntelliSHOT ships with an included wall mount, and various mounting solutions from Legrand | AV's Chief brand are also available. Priced competitively, IntelliSHOT features free remote management with the Vaddio Deployment Tool software.
