NMG's Gordon Buchanan speaks at a Digital Elements Introduction to Digital Marketing' seminar in WRAL-TV's Studio A.
Two years ago Capitol Broadcasting Company created a new subsidiary, a digital marketing team, under the umbrella of our division CBC New Media Group. Digital Elements emerged as a natural extension of CBC's commitment to helping local businesses prosper.
Keeping It Local
A team of six, with a few contractors, works together as the heart of Digital Elements.
We are a dedicated, in-house team of experts in digital strategy that works out of the Western Boulevard campus, explained Digital Elements' Business Development Coordinator Lisa Chappell. We build and optimize websites for businesses; offer SEO, Social Media management, content, display advertising, and a number of other services that help strengthen digital presence.
During the past two years Digital Elements has worked with over 100 clients from local universities, auto dealers, law firms, dentists, medical practices, private schools, and service providers. From helping smaller businesses punch above their weight with larger national competitors to larger clients like Home Comfort, Campbell University and Meredith College, Digital Elements handles all of the digital marketing for their clients.
The Digital Elements Team (l to r): Chad Faircloth, Jordan Rogers, Lisa Chappell, Meredith Duncan, Chris Overby, Veronica Dyer, John Deans, Gordon Buchanan & Reagan Fisher.
An Independent Entity with Access to Expert Resources
A CBC team player, Digital Elements works on cross-divisional sales with our Radio and TV staffers both in Raleigh and Wilmington.
Digital Elements isn't a side gig for CBC; the group is a dedicated in-house team of experts working exclusively for their clients. However, the six-person team has access to all the award-winning production teams within Capitol Broadcasting. For example, the same tech team that runs WRAL.com and the same team that produces video for WRAL-TV offer work in conjunction with the Digital Elements team.
We pride ourselves on offering local, personalized service to our clients, with the impressive talent and resources of CBC behind us, said Chappell.
Digital Elements Client Services Manager Gordon Buchanan shared a little about what makes the small team with the big mission tick.
The main thing that makes us special is our willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy our clients. We retain most of our clients because we treat them well, show them great results, and are completely transparent in everything we do with for them.
We are a (recent) Google Adwords Certified Partner, have multiple staff members who are experts in Google Analytics and other reporting tools, and we are adept at telling a story using data to illustrate success for our clients.
Additionally we are constantly learning and getting better at what we do, and are always on the lookout for a better way to serve our clients. We understand that digital marketing is constantly changing and evolving and we do a good job of keeping up.
I think what makes us tick is seeing results for our clients, whether it is phone call conversions from PPC, rises in organic traffic from SEO efforts, or hearing that our client had the best month they have ever had which happened recently.
We are a product of CBC which is to say we strive 100% of the time to do good work and live up to the sterling reputation of our parent company.
Sharing Successful Strategies
Digital Elements has offered several Introduction to Digital Marketing' seminars on the Western Blvd campus in partnership with groups including the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Raleigh Homebuilders Association, and The Montessori Association. Their next scheduled seminar takes place this Wednesday, September 16. Held in partnership with The Wake Tech Small Business Center, the event is open to the public.
Digital Elements has also offered a webinar and plan to develop a full series in the future.
The idea is to offer the community education about the value of digital marketing, explained Chappell, and we've received very positive feedback from our attendees so far.
